The board is hanging on the garage wall and I placed the two coats of acrylic gesso.

I sanded the gesso and applied a base coat of yellow. You have to start somewhere. I have no idea what this painting is going to end up looking like. That is one thing I love about painting, all the surprises.

I've been traveling but I'm in the studio every day that I'm not on the road. I love painting! This piece has a long way to go.

I'm getting back to this piece after focusing on #104 that was purchased and needed to be completed quickly. Here I'm making new marks listening to my favorite music to paint to, Radiohead.

Making marks every day hardly seems noticeable at this point. Yet, I proceed to make them as long as I see places for them to be made.

Standing in front of this piece, makes me happy. I still see some work that needs to be completed, but I expect to have this done in a week or so.

Making a few last marks before completing this one. I find it hard to finish a painting. It's like deciding to say a permanent goodbye to a friend.

I applied the varnish and declared this painting completed. All that is left Is to sign it, removed the tape from the sides, and write notes on the back of the board. This will be ready to hang within a couple of days.
